New FootHubb Poll Shows 3-Day Sock Wear Is The New Normal

MEN ARE DITCHING DAILY SOCK CHANGES

America’s sock habits are changing FAST — and according to a new FootHubb poll, men are now keeping the same socks on for a minimum of THREE DAYS before changing them out.

That’s a full day longer than last year’s average, when most men reported switching pairs after two days.

The FootHubb poll surveyed 340 respondents and found the shift is being driven by packed schedules, rising detergent costs, and limited laundry access. Many men say they don’t have washers and dryers in their apartments, making constant laundry runs inconvenient and expensive.

Instead, respondents say they’re using the “smell test” as the ultimate deciding factor. If the socks still pass and don’t smell too strong, many see no reason to toss them in the laundry early.

Others pointed to comfort, efficiency, and maximizing the life of premium socks as major reasons for extending wear time.

FootHubb says the trend reflects a growing movement in men’s lifestyle culture where practicality, routine, and comfort are reshaping everyday habits — one pair of socks at a time.
