[WASHINGTON] Men who sell stinky socks and create rank foot content online say new Trump administration immigration restrictions could seriously impact their ability to enter the United States and connect with customers.
The U.S. State Department recently announced expanded visa reviews and processing pauses affecting more than 70 countries, creating uncertainty for creators whose businesses rely heavily on American buyers, private bookings, and in-person collaborations.
Many sellers say they now fear denied visas, delayed travel, and canceled events as stricter immigration policies take effect.
A sock seller from Pakistan said he already postponed plans to visit customers in the U.S.
“Most of my buyers are American guys who want really stinky gym socks. If I can’t travel there, I lose money.”
A creator from Colombia who sells socks worn during long work shifts said the policy changes are creating panic across the foot-content industry.
“I had collaborations lined up in the U.S. and now nobody knows if visas will even get approved.”
Another man from Brazil said he worries being involved in the stinky sock business could make approvals even harder.
“People already judge men with smelly feet online. Now we’re scared we won’t even be allowed into the country.”
